Stephanie Williams is an intellectual property lawyer with a primary focus on trademark law. She advises clients on trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, and brand protection strategies. Stephanie also supports intellectual property licensing matters, including drafting and negotiating IP and technology-related agreements. In addition, she provides guidance on intellectual property protection, including copyright matters and open-source licensing.

Experience
Prior to joining Brion Raffoul, Stephanie practised at another leading Canadian intellectual property firm, where she assisted clients across a range of industries with trademark and broader intellectual property matters.

Before law school, Stephanie spent several years working in the software industry, with a particular focus on open-source software licences. This experience provides her with valuable insight into the practical and commercial realities faced by technology companies and supports her work advising on licensing and open-source issues.
