Jay is a J.D. Candidate at Thompson Rivers University, where he actively participates as a Board Member of the Society of Law Students and serves on the executive team of the Business Law Society. Before pursuing law, Jay completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Biotechnology from California State University, Bakersfield, in 2016, followed by a Master of Science degree in Cancer Immunotherapy from the University of Victoria in 2020. During his graduate studies, Jay’s research focused on developing a therapeutic treatment utilizing Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) imaging as a non-invasive tool for monitoring inducible gene expression. He has co-authored four peer-reviewed scientific journal articles published in Clinical Cancer ResearchEuropean Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular ImagingG3 (Bethesda), and PLOS One.

Outside of his professional life, Jay enjoys a variety of hobbies. He finds solace in reading science fiction and philosophical literature, stays active by playing tennis, and explores his culinary skills by experimenting with cuisines from around the world in the kitchen.
