Wednesday, December 9, 2020, marked the official launch date of Canada’s first patent collective, implemented through the Innovation Asset Collective (IAC)! The IAC will primarily focus on improving the IP strategy and patent portfolios of its member companies, with a view to improving the freedom to operate of the companies in this increasingly competitive global marketplace. For this pilot project, the federal government’s mandate is to focus the membership on Canadian SMEs in the data-driven clean technology sector.
Brion Raffoul has supported the IAC proposal since the establishment of the tender for the pilot project. We are thrilled to welcome this support from the federal government for Canadian innovation, and look forward to a bright future for Canadian innovators in clean tech!
